PARADISE FOUND....

Ngepi Camp, situated in the unspoiled upper reaches of the Okavango delta panhandle in the western Caprivi strip, Kavango region, Namibia.

With clean Kalahari desert air, the camp is set on an island under amazing trees with permanent river frontage and surrounded by seasonally flooded swamps. It is a paradise of flooded plains and secret swampy backwaters, teaming with wildlife, as we are nestled between Mahango National park, a few km’s to the south, and Bwabwata National Park directly opposite across the river.

How to get there:

On the B8 road at Divundu (on the western side of the Okavango river at the bridge), turn south on Mohembo Border Post road (towards Botswana) for 10km. turn left at Ngepi sign for further 4 km on 2WD road.

Or fly to Bagani airstrip, or Shakawe in Botswana and we will do the rest ……..>

Please don't support children begging along the roads. It only encourages this behavior. So handing out sweets to the children along the roads is seen as a guilt trip ..... Talk to us about dealing with these issues intelligently please.

Also -we sell fire wood at the camp... all collected as a community project from SUSTAINABLE forests by the community - some other firewood sold along the roads is cut from sensitive riverine forest areas that are under threat - please DONT buy it!!!
